Mark has been playing trombone professionally since high school and has enjoyed a career spanning decades involving a variety of music genres. In addition to starting and managing his own bands, he has performed and/or recorded with numerous original artists, including Baaba Seth, Bill Deal and the Rhondells, Bob Girard, The Buzzard Hollow Boys, Charlie Pastorfield, Corey Harris, Chris Leva and the Guano Boys, Galen Curry, Gladys Knight, Greg Ward and the Dubsettors, John D’earth, Lenny Kurlou, Marcia Aikens, Mike Sokolowski, The Meditations, Paul Reisler and Kid Pan Alley, The Temptations, Tine Schlieske, The Upbeat, We Are Star Children, and many others.

A note from Mark:

This website is a wonderful birthday gift designed by my incredible family, Lisa, Jordan, and Tye. Its purpose is to chronicle 6 decades of my musical journey, therefore it is packed with stuff, some of which is professional, and some just silly and unnecessary. If you have a short attention span, then you’re in the right place. Given that some of the recordings and videos date back to the early 70s and were captured by cassette recorders, first generation camcorders with unfortunate gain settings, and cell phones, there are elements of graininess and distortion that I thought might be fun for those who are bored with perfection. The same goes for some questionable note choices in my solos.

I also want to thank every musician who was brave enough to invite me to play or record with them. You’ve all had a profound impact on my life.

By the way, this is a work in progress, so it will be updated regularly as I discover more archived material and experience new musical adventures.
